The denim fabric has a water-repellent and color-fastening finish and is lined with a bright light ivory-gray polyester fabric for easy visibility inside. To prevent the bag from losing its shape the body is reinforced with a non-woven rubber core that returns to its original state even when bent and the handbag portion is also reinforced with a stretch-resistant core.

High-quality KURASHIKI canvas and carefully selected veg tanned leather are used. KURASHIKI canvas has a good texture and is extremely strong and lightweight. This canvas is treated with paraffin (waxed) to enhance its water repellency. The carefully selected veg tanned leather will become more comfortable in your hand as you use it and the color tone will change and deepen as you use it more.

 

To maintain its shape and enhance its robustness a firm non-woven fabric is used for the core. The leather handle is covered with tape to prevent stretching.

 

The edge of the bag is folded inward and sewn with a technique called 'Heri-gaeri-boshi ' which is a very difficult technique to achieve. This is a very difficult technique and the care that only Japanese craftsmen can take in sewing it enhances the degree of perfection of the product.
