Tatsuno City, located in the southwestern part of Hyogo Prefecture, is blessed with an abundance of water thanks to a large river, and has flourished as one of the leading leather production areas in Japan.

Leather production has been a traditional industry since the Kamakura period (1185-1333), and many important elements of leather production have been passed down from generation to generation, making this area recognized as an excellent production area.

Even today, more than 200 companies, from large to small factories, are concentrated in the area, producing a wide variety of products every day.
Many tanneries are well known in domestic and international leather contests, and the area is well known among leather lovers! It is also an "area known by leather lovers!
