Awa Shijira Ori
It is said that "Awa Shijira-Ori" was born when a cotton stripe called "Tatae-Ori," which was actively woven in the Awa region, got wet in a rainstorm and shrank when it was left to dry. The characteristic of "Awa Shijira-Ori" is the unique unevenness called "shibo," which is caused by the difference in elasticity of the combination of the number of warp and weft yarns. This texture makes the fabric feel soft to the touch, light and comfortable to wear, and does not stick to the skin even when perspiring. In July 1978, "Awa Shijira-Ori" using natural Awa dyes was designated as a traditional handicraft by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry as Awa Shoai Shijira Ori.

We are proud to offer free express worldwide shipping on orders over $150.
