This is a special limited edition jeans project, "Shinsengumi Goryokaku Model", a series of models based on the theme of "the rough and tumble people who lived at the end of the Edo period", which was introduced in the 2021 Spring/Summer project. This time, the motif is the battle of Goryokaku, which is said to have been an important battle at the end of the Tokugawa Shogunate, and the mixed design of the "blade" model, which is common to the series, has been adopted as a war model specification. The design features a pure gold plated sunrise button that signifies the dawn of a new era, a slake of various actions, the cherry blossoms of Goryokaku, which is still known as a famous cherry blossom spot, and a button with a drum that represents the Shinsengumi, the demon XO, who lies beneath Goryokaku. The denim is the same 18 oz. special slub denim used in the series, and the characteristic rough and bumpy texture of the heavy ounce denim gives it a more powerful look than normal, and it increases with washing. The selvedge is made in three colors: "white" and "asagi", which are said to have been used in the haori of the Shinsengumi, and "red", with the meaning of sincerity. The silhouette is a newly created relaxed tapered shape with a deeper crotch.
