In the history of STUDIO D'ARTISAN, there is a denim that has been handed down as the most difficult to produce.
It is not too much to say that it defined the "sense of value of selvage" woven by narrowing the width of the power loom to the utmost limit, which is rare even in Japan, and it is the crystallization of history and a gem in which STUDIO D'ARTISAN's labor and technology were lavishly devoted.
For this 45th anniversary project, the original yarn of "DO-1," STUDIO D'ARTISAN's first model, was used to produce an unparalleled minimum width selvage denim by narrowing the width of the power loom to an extremely narrow 20cm and 38cm.
This is a testament to the possibilities of a completely new denim created from tradition and technology.
