Since replacement parts are no longer available, the only way to keep it running is by salvaging components from decommissioned machines and using them to repair those still in operation. This process is extremely labor-intensive, making maintenance a significant challenge. Additionally, the GL3 operates at a painstakingly slow pace, weaving only 5 meters per hour.
However, the denim woven on the GL3 possesses a rugged and raw texture reminiscent of workwear denim from decades past. This loom is truly one of a kind—it is the only machine capable of capturing the authentic character of vintage denim.
