Shortly after World War II, American soldiers stationed at the Yokosuka U.S. military base in Japan began ordering custom jackets from tailor shops, requesting embroidery designs that featured oriental patterns and their respective units or base emblems as mementos. This is considered the origin of the "Sukajan" jacket. This particular Sukajan is made from indigo rayon-cotton fabric with a glossy finish, allowing you to enjoy the unique aging process typical of indigo. The 3D embroidery of the pig and dragon is created using two shades of indigo thread. This is a MADE IN JAPAN Sukajan, entirely finished in Japan.
