5712 Arrow Kasuri Indigo Sashiko Shirts

Studio D’Artisan has produced original fabric inspired by Japan's traditional textile, "arrow Kasuri." Arrow Kasuri is a Kasuri textile used in Japan since ancient times, with a motif of arrow feathers. It has excellent warmth retention due to the inclusion of 150g of voluminous batting. You can also enjoy the aging changes specific to indigo. It is a shirt with a simple and warm texture, born from the fusion of Japan's Kimono culture and Western workwear. Nut buttons are used for the buttons.

Arrow Kasuri Sashiko

Indigo-dyed Kasuri Kimono gained popularity as everyday wear for commoners. The Kasuri pattern woven in navy and white is a familiar traditional textile with a simple and rustic feel for Japanese people. Kasuri originated in India and is believed to have been introduced to Japan via the Ryukyu Islands during the Edo period. It came to be called "Kasuri" because the pattern looks blurry. In Japan, an unprecedented number of Kasuri textiles have been born in various regions. This time, Studio D’Artisan created original fabric inspired by Japan's traditional textile, "arrow Kasuri." Arrow Kasuri is an ancient Kasuri with a motif of arrow feathers and was used for samurai garments. This fabric, born from the fusion of Japanese Kimono culture and Western workwear, features a simple and warm texture.
