Thank you for your understanding.

The jeans are inspired by the 1940s in America, when production was simplified due to the war, and jeans were sewn by less-experienced workers, resulting in imperfect stitching and simplified details. Dalchizan uses 13.0oz original denim spun on the Ishikawa spinning machine, adding a beige top finish to recreate the rugged and oxidized indigo blue denim of the time.

ISHIKAWADAI DENIM

"Ishikawadai" refers to a Japanese-made ring-spinning machine produced by Ishikawa Manufacturing in 1953. No official records remain, but it is believed to be the oldest spinning machine still in operation in Japan. Compared to modern ring-spinning machines, its speed is about one-third, making it much slower. However, because of this slow pace, it puts less strain on the cotton, preserving its soft, natural texture, much like hand-spun yarn, with a unique unevenness that cannot be replicated by computers. The indigo dyeing of the warp threads maintains this cotton’s natural texture by skipping the usual refining process, intentionally creating uneven indigo shades like vintage denim. All stages of production are done using low-tech methods to replicate denim from 1953. Products made from this denim will age beautifully, carrying on the spirit of vintage wear for the next generation.
